Model: Grand Vase Art Déco
Designer: Manufacture des Emaux de Longwy 1798

This large Duchesse Charlotte vase is a re-edition of the original in new colours, black/grey and white. The top of the base and the details of the decoration are painted with real platinum.

From 1919 to 1939, the enamels went through an Arts Déco period in the artistic movement launched by Art Moderne or Modern Style, a new stylistic trend rooted in the abstraction of cubism. A historic earthenware factory, Manufacture des Emaux de Longwy is reissuing some of the pieces and decorations that bear witness to its creativity, a creativity that continues to mark the times with its timeless modernism. Hand-decorated.

The grand-ducal couple in Longwy for the centenary celebration
The Grand Ducal couple visited Longwy on Sunday June 18, 2023, to celebrate the centenary of the acquisition of the current town hall in the enamel city, partly financed in the last century (1923) by Luxembourg and its Grand Duchess Charlotte with a donation of 500,000 francs, when the town hall had been destroyed during the Great War.
On this occasion, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa were presented with this re-edition of the original Grand Vase Duchesse Charlotte.

Please note: This vase is purely decorative and is not waterproof.
