Gilles Le Guen

Gilles Le Guen has lived and painted in Tahiti since 1983. He began his apprenticeship in Paris, at the Nissim de Camondo Museum and at the Académie Julian of the ESAG Penninghen. During all these years, he has immersed himself in the local Polynesian culture. His paintings tell stories. His sources of inspiration are the past and the future, imagination, travel, continents, Atlantis, Mu and contacts with space civilizations, craps circle... He has created reproductions of the Master Paul Gauguin for the Tahiti International Airport and large paintings for the Tahiti Hilton Hotel.
