Leon Zanella
Born in Marseille in 1956, the artist studied at the Beaux Arts in Avignon and draws his inspiration from the pure tradition of Provençal painters: raw colours, naïve drawing, knife technique... "I draw my inspiration from my travels, especially from Greece, Venice and Provence".
Internationally renowned, Léon Zanella began his career at the age of 17 with an exhibition at the Bédoin Town Hall at the foot of the famous Mont Ventoux. All (54) of his paintings were sold at this premiere.
The enamels of Longwy owe him the colourful collections 'Coquelicots à Bedoin', 'San Marco', 'Vendanges au Chateau' and 'Tulipes à Causans'.
