For Epiphany 2019, the Expert Pastry chefs of Lorraine offer a box of food porcelain beans, on the theme of decorated owls from the Manufacture des Emaux de Longwy.

To be found in this box 9 owls of our decorations"Apple Blossoms","Tribute to Emile Gallé", "Carré d'As","Christmas in Alsace", All Gold,"I Love Longwy","Moon", Uni et Or and"Fleur Bleue".

Each bean measures 2.8 cm in height, 1.5 cm in width and depth and weighs 11 grams.
Enameling 24 carat gold.

The beans are sold in boxes or individually in the network of Expert Pastry Chefs of Lorraine, in our stores in Longwy, Metz, Nancy and on our website with a guaranteed delivery between 48 to 72 hours.

Tip: Each bean is edible so you can slip it into your favorite cake.

The enamel factory celebrates its 220th anniversary

Founded in 1798, the Longwy enamel factory is celebrating its 220th anniversary this year. 1798 saw the foundation of the Faïencerie in Longwy in a former convent.

A production renowned since the First Empire: the Emperor Napoleon the First, after his visit to the "workshop of the factory", ordered the tableware for the Imperial houses of the Legion of Honour.

In 1835, the earthenware factory passed into the hands of the Huart family for 140 years, and from then on it prospered.

In order to "fight back in France" against the growing imports from China and Japan, the d'Huarts brought the Italian Amédée de Carenza to Longwy - around 1872 - who brought with him the exclusive techniques that would enable him to produce enamels on earthenware.

The famous "Émaux de Longwy" were born and their reputation would only grow.

To celebrate their 220th anniversary, the Manufacture is coming to the Bristol. Bastien Brousse, the hotel's floral designer, has chosen the house's vases to sublimate his new settings which adorn the hotel's common areas. A beautiful setting for the house which celebrates its 220th anniversary this year and an opportunity for us to look back at the history of this extraordinary manufacture.

Received by Martin Pietri, president, the famous lady with the hat posed with great pleasure in the middle of the workshop team, these little hands that perpetuate an exceptional French know-how.

As part of the 35th edition of the European Heritage Days, which will take place on 15 and 16 September, the Manufacture des Emaux de Longwy 1798 is offering a programme of discovery of its workshops and its know-how through guided tours and decoration workshops.

Paris: the Bristol welcomes the Manufacture des Emaux de Longwy 1798, the meeting of two worlds of excellence

Parisian Palace par excellence, the Bristol combines luxury and refinement in the French style and honors for the first time in April, the historical earthenware factory of the XVIIIth century. A beautiful setting for our House which celebrates its 220th anniversary this year!

Bastien Brousse, the Palace's floral designer, has chosen the house's vases to enhance his new settings that adorn the hotel's common areas, thus highlighting the talent and know-how of the Manufacture's craftsmen.
In the lobby, the Héritage range as well as two decorative balls"A l'Ombre des fleurs" by Nicolas Blandin are on display for a month.
The Héritage collection presents decorations with flower seedlings in shades of gray enhanced with gold...
Nicolas Blandin signs a series of vases where orchids and foliage are mixed in shades of purple and gold that intermingle.

At the same time, some of the Manufacture's creations can be found at L'Eden Being, the Bristol boutique.

Since its takeover in December 2015, the Longwy enamel factory has regained vitality by bringing in new designers. It now employs around forty people.
