Born in Evian-les-Bains in 1969, Valérie Brand has been painting for about twenty years in a self-taught way. Her source of inspiration is most often related to the inner life, that of the senses, emotions and the unknown. The assembly of colored and contrasted forms of the Zoom series is a kind of access code, the puzzle is composed, the forms are intertwined until the moment when the sensation of a door opening invades. This Zoom series for the Faïencerie des Emaux de Longwy gave the artist the desire to paint other volumes, pottery, wood, mannequins.
