Description

Ø 25 cm - H. 21 cm
Collection : Art Décool
Model: Sellette Petit Modèle
Designer: Nicolas Lequeux

As an extension of his Art Décool collection launched in 2020, Nicolas Lequeux imagines graphic and colourful saddles inspired by the ceramics of Mediterranean villa facades, in an asymmetrical version of Art Déco.

This hybrid object is a mobile, precious harness whose function depends on the imagination of its user. At home, it can be used to place your bag next to your favourite armchair or your coffee cup in front of your sofa. On a table or a chest of drawers, it creates height with a vase or a sculpture placed on top. Placed in a shop window, it allows you to present a product elegantly on different levels.

"I thought of these objects with a perennial aspect, they will be transmitted and their uses will evolve with time and their owners. Hence my proposals for multiple uses."
Nicolas Lequeux

Designer
Nicolas Lequeux A graduate of the Master of Communication and Media Engineering (CME), his research focuses on the links between humanity and objects. His first object is a mobile phone shell. He then wondered about the love that humans have for objects. In 2018, his stool project The Kindness received a special prize from Villa Noailles for the idea of recycling cork. He mixes materials and various technologies where his exceptional craftsmanship experiments consciously and with high standards. For Emaux de Longwy, he works on the "Art & Craft" history of the Manufacture to create new motifs and link new and old generations, using childlike colours and digital graphics. His projects are based on the search for functionality and rationality while adding his emotional touch. He now works between Paris and Hyères-Les-Palmiers.
